The makers of the anime-inspired role-playing game Kaidro: Clan Battles have announced that they will be launching a token on the Ethereum sidechain network Ronin this week. With 35% of the token supply allocated to community rewards, this will open up opportunities for play-to-airdrop campaigns and other engagement rewards.
Kaidro is based on a webcomic series of the same name by Gadget-Bot Productions. It has expanded into the RPG Kaidro: Clan Battles, an audiobook series, and an upcoming animated TV series in collaboration with “Avatar: The Last Airbender” writer Tim Hedrick.
The KDR token generation event (TGE) is scheduled to take place on the Ronin network on Wednesday, December 18. If everything goes as planned, the KDR token will be tradable on the centralized exchange Bitmart and the Katana decentralized exchange on Ronin.
Detailed tokenomics have also been released now that the date is confirmed. KDR will have a total supply of 100 million tokens, with 35% allocated to community rewards. The project aims to reward those who engage with Kaidro, from reading the webcomics to playing the game or purchasing NFTs. It seems that a transmedia play-to-airdrop campaign is on the horizon.
25% of the token supply is allocated to investors, with 12% for the team, unlocking gradually over a four-year period. Additionally, 11% is set aside for liquidity, 9% for strategic advisors, 4.5% for ecosystem development support, and 3.5% for marketing.
In their announcement tweet, Kaidro’s developers explained that the KDR token will have utility within the anime universe. This includes the opportunity to influence the anime series, potentially through a governance system, as well as the chance to become a voice actor for the show. The token will also unlock exclusive in-game items, enable fans to purchase merchandise, and allow them to earn rewards in upcoming play-to-airdrop campaigns.
Following the token launch, the next steps on the project’s roadmap include entering closed beta for Kaidro: Clan Battles and launching another title called Kaidro: Pocket Game.
