UNICEF, the United Nations Children’s Fund, has announced an investment of $400,000 to support promising startups operating in the field of blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI). This funding, sourced from the UNICEF Venture Fund, is specifically aimed at startups that have previously received seed funding and have achieved their initial goals. The focus of this investment is on developing countries and economies.
Currently, three AI and blockchain companies have been selected to receive this funding. These companies include Rumsan, a blockchain company from Nepal, Xcapit from Argentina, and Tilli, an AI company from Sri Lanka. UNICEF aims to foster innovation and technological advancements in these areas, particularly in regions that can benefit from such developments.
