Former CEO of PayPal and co-founder of Founders Fund, Peter Thiel, confirmed in an interview with CNBC that he still holds Bitcoin and reiterated his desire to buy more earlier. However, Thiel is not optimistic about the price potential of Bitcoin, adding, “I’m not sure if it will rise significantly from now.” In February of this year, Reuters reported that Peter Thiel’s venture capital firm, Founders Fund, had invested $100 million in Bitcoin and Ether respectively, when the prices were below $30,000. It is reported that Founders Fund first invested in Bitcoin in 2014 and made a profit of $1.8 billion through sales before the market crash in 2022.
