East China Securities, a professional securities firm, has released an analysis report on the approval of Bitcoin and Ethereum spot ETFs in Hong Kong. The report points out that the key factor determining the scale of capital inflows into Hong Kong Bitcoin spot ETFs is whether southbound funds can enter and whether they can attract funds from Asian regions such as Japan and South Korea. In addition, the issuer of virtual asset futures ETFs may face capital outflows. Compared to spot ETFs, futures ETFs are subject to contract updates and trading procedures restrictions. Combined with the advantages of spot ETFs in liquidity and price tracking ability, capital may shift from Bitcoin futures ETFs to spot ETFs.
