As the deadline for US citizens to file their tax returns on April 15th approaches, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is intensifying its efforts to combat the growing cases of tax evasion involving cryptocurrencies.
Guy Ficco, the director of the criminal investigation division at the IRS, announced at the Chainalysis Links conference in New York that they will strengthen enforcement measures to address more cases of tax evasion through underreporting and concealing cryptocurrency transactions.
