Pitchbook Analyst: Significant Increase Expected in Mergers and Acquisitions within the Cryptocurrency Industry Later This Year, Particularly in the Exchange and Custodial Sectors

Pitchbook analyst Robert Le said, “The recovery of publicly traded tokens and the increasing adoption by institutions will drive an increase in venture capital funding.” He added, “Competition for investment rounds is very intense, especially at the early stage. What complicates matters further is that early-stage transactions are valued higher than later-stage transactions… We will observe in the coming quarters whether this trend continues.” Additionally, it is expected that mergers in the cryptocurrency industry will increase later this year as the market matures, especially among cryptocurrency exchanges, custodians, and infrastructure providers.
