LayerZero, a cross-chain asset transfer interoperability protocol, has announced the addition of Solana to its cross-chain bridge network. LayerZero connects the Solana network to seven chains: Ethereum, Avalanche, Polygon, Arbitrum, BNB Chain, Optimism, and Base. This enables developers to create applications that can send assets and data to Solana from rollups, Layer 1, Layer 2, and other non-EVM chains. According to Messari, LayerZero users transferred $6.7 billion worth of cryptocurrencies in Q1 2024, generating $11.5 million in revenue. LayerZero also announced plans to integrate and expand Solana to its full network of over 70 blockchains.
