Nium, a fintech startup, has announced that it has raised $50 million in new funding from investors and plans to go public within the next 18 months. The funding round was led by an undisclosed sovereign wealth fund in Southeast Asia, with support from venture capital firms BOND, NewView Capital, and Tribe Capital. The company has valued Nium at $1.4 billion, which is a 30% decrease from its previous valuation of $2 billion in 2022 when it raised external venture capital.
