According to the Korean media “Financial News”, the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) of South Korea will jointly launch the Blockchain Support Plan for 2024. These two institutions plan to invest 20 billion Korean won (approximately $14.5 million) to develop public blockchain services and promote the commercialization of blockchain company products. The supported public blockchain projects under this plan include digital coupons related to central bank digital currency (CBDC), digital badges, and online voting systems.
