Blockworks reports that Ethereum is currently experiencing its longest inflationary period to date. The circulating supply of Ether has steadily increased for nearly 72 days, adding nearly 50,000 ETH (1.687 billion USD) since mid-April. At the same time, activity on the Ethereum mainnet continues to rise, with explosive growth in layer 2 activity. Since the merge in September 2022, ETH has only experienced a few instances of prolonged inflation, the longest being 40 days shortly after the hard fork and 30 days at the end of last year.
