Telegram founder Pavel Durov discussed the popularity of the phenomenon known as Hamster Kombat. Durov stated that Hamster Kombat is a click-to-earn game where players assume the role of a cryptocurrency exchange CEO hamster. Since its release, the game has attracted 239 million users in just three months.
This game utilizes the mini-program protocol launched by Telegram in 2020. However, it wasn’t until recently, with the launch of click-to-earn projects such as Notcoin and Hamster Kombat mentioned above, that this game started gaining attention. Durov emphasized that the acceptance of Hamster Kombat has led to the project attracting 100 million users in just 73 days. He revealed that there are four to five million users joining the game every day, making it the “fastest-growing digital service globally.”
