The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is seeking public comments on a revised version of the Ethereum exchange-traded fund (ETF) proposed by BlackRock, according to recent news. BlackRock initially submitted the ETF proposal in November 2023, with the aim of tracking the performance of the Ethereum price. The SEC delayed its decision on the proposal in January, and on April 19, Nasdaq filed an amendment to the proposal, which discussed the creation and redemption process of the ETF. In a filing submitted on Tuesday, the SEC stated, “The Commission is publishing this notice to solicit comments on the proposed rule change (as modified by Amendment No. 1).” The SEC further mentioned that the comments will be published on the SEC website within 21 days.
