In Hong Kong, it has already been determined that the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) is responsible for regulating cryptocurrencies. The SFC has provided clear regulatory frameworks, and Ethereum has been defined as a non-security virtual asset, along with Bitcoin, that falls under Hong Kong’s regulatory jurisdiction. Ethereum can be traded by retail investors.
