In April, the total amount of funding in the cryptocurrency market reached $1.02 billion, involving 161 investments, slightly lower than the $1.09 billion in March. However, cryptocurrency venture capital has surpassed $1 billion for the second consecutive month this year, marking the first time since the end of 2022.
Notable funding includes a $47 million investment by BlackRock as the lead investor in asset tokenization company Securitize, as well as a massive $225 million investment in Layer1 blockchain Monad, known as the “Solana killer,” supported by Paradigm and Coinbase Ventures. In addition, blockchain infrastructure startups Auradine and Berachain, based on Cosmos, received funding support of $80 million and $100 million respectively.
